Many hardcore gamers have been anticipating the next gen Doom game. After all, the first two Doom games have had people talking for more than two decades! The fact of the matter is this; those games will always be remembered as true classics of the gaming medium a century down the track. Unfortunately, this new Doom game will not. The gameplay is nothing like the original and not in a good way! I know consoles have moved on but it really isn’t fun to play at all. It shows no signs of its former self and I’m afraid we’re quite ashamed that it’s been released under the Doom name because it’s frankly terrible. The storyline is short, it doesn’t have you hooked and it’s missing the button bashing that made it so great to start with. Let’s hope Doom developers make some big changes next time round.
